Punjab’s Yugraj Mahi defeated Haryana’s Jaideep 6-1 6-1 during a qualifying first round match of the boys’ U-16 category during the ongoing Roots AITA CS(7) National Rankings Championship.

Prabhsaran Singh faced some resistance against Damanpreet Singh before recording a 7-6(3) 6-1 win. Sohrab Singh also moved ahead by defeating Tanveer Singh 6-0 6-1 and Aditya Pratap of Madhya Pradesh defeated Arnav Khandelwal 6-3 6-4.

In the boys’ U-14 category, Aarav Garg ousted Ekam Singh 6-0 6-1, whereas Kunwar Dhull struggled hard to defeat Viren Chaudhary 7-5 7-6(5). Charchit Boora recorded win over Gurnawaj Singh without conceding a single games, while Satyam Dadwal recorded a comeback 4-6 6-4 10-5 win over Kartikeya.
