Zirakpur flyover gets anti-glare median

Anti-glare median barriers installed on Zirakpur flyover on Tuesday. Anti-glare breaks the light beam of oncoming vehicles on the other side and median barriers prevent the vehicle involved in crashes to jump over to the other side and hit vehicles there. Zirakpur, July 31
The Zirakpur flyover has been equipped with anti-glare median barriers. The installation work of the barriers was carried out yesterday evening. Anti-glare breaks the light beam of oncoming vehicles on the other side, and median barriers prevent the vehicles involved in crashes from jumping over to the other side and hitting vehicles there.
The local residents said it was a welcome development as it would increase visibility on the highway and check uncontrolled vehicles jumping over to the other side of the road during accidents.
The Chandigarh Tribune has highlighted the lack of this infrastructure on the flyover several times. The anti-glare median barriers were installed on the Dera Bassi flyover; however, they were missing at the Zirakpur and Lalru flyovers. Now, this has been added to Zirakpur too. — TNS
