The Health Ministry today announced a series of webinars it will hold under the aegis of AIIMS, New Delhi, to equip doctors in states and UTs to deal with the Covid surge in the wake of Omicron spread.
“While public health action in terms of containment, surveillance, contact tracing, testing, adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour and vaccination are of prime importance, it is equally crucial that efforts are made by all stakeholders to minimise the mortality due to Covid to a minimum possible level,” Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said in a letter to states.
The webinars will be held from January 5 to 19, covering the following subjects — mild Covid: home isolation; blood investigation and interpretation; radiology in Covid; antiviral agents; monoclonal antibodies and other therapies, managing children with Covid; oxygen therapy without invasive ventilation; ventilation and ICU management; and post-Covid management.
The ministry said the webinars were being planned in a dual mode.
