Jaipur, June 14 

Four persons died of Covid-19, while 131 new positive cases were recorded in Rajasthan on Sunday. 

Two patients succumbed in Bharatpur, while one each died in Srigangangar and Jaipur, a medical bulletin said. The death toll rose to 286, while the total number of cases touched 12,532.

Meanwhile, Medical and Health Secretary (ACS) Rohit Kumar Singh claimed that the patients’ recovery rate is 75 percent, adding that three out of four Covid positive persons have recovered. The number of active cases has been below 3000 for a fortnight, he added. 

Of the latest tally, 40 people tested positive in Dholpur, 34 in Bharatpur, 15 in Jaipur, 12 in Alwar, nine in Bikaner, five in Nagaur, three each in Sawaimadhopur and Dausa, two in Udaipur, and one each in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Kota and Karauli. 

Out of the 12,532 cases, 9,431 have recovered. There are 2,815 active cases. Jaipur has seen the most number of deaths — 128 — followed by 27 in Jodhpur.
