FDA to consider using Covaxin as vaccine candidate in US

The United States Food and Drug Administration will consider making Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for use in the country, the biotechnology company said in a statement on Saturday.

Ocugen Inc announced that the FDA had lifted its hold on the company’s application to make it a vaccine candidate in the US.

Covaxin is one of two Covid vaccines used for adults in India.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
