Russia claims second vaccine 100% effective

MOSCOW, January 19

Russia’s consumer health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor on Tuesday said Russia’s second vaccine against Covid-19 is 100% effective based on the results of clinical trials, the TASS news agency reported.

Russia began mass trials of EpiVacCorona, which is being developed by Siberia’s Vector Institute, in November. Moscow has said its other approved vaccine, Sputnik V, is 92% effective at protecting people from Covid according to interim results. — Reuters

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
