A 13-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a black Thar near the Indian Oil Petrol Pump at C-8, Vasant Kunj, in Southwest Delhi, the police said on Friday.
According to the police, a PCR call regarding the accident was received at Vasant Kunj North police station on Tuesday.

The deceased, a resident of Dalit Ekta Camp, Vasant Kunj, was on his bicycle when the vehicle hit him.
Upon reaching the spot, the investigating officer and staff found traces of blood and a damaged bicycle.
The injured child was rushed to a hospital in a PCR van, where doctors declared him brought dead, an official said.

The driver of the Thar fled the scene along with the vehicle after the incident.
The police said a case under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) had been registered at the Vasant Kunj North police station.
A crime team has inspected the site, and efforts are underway to trace the absconding driver.
