Reopen UGC-NET portal: ABVP
New Delhi: The ABVP has formally petitioned the University Grants Commission (UGC) to reopen the online application portal for the UGC-NET (June 2024) exam. The move comes in response to concerns raised by students who missed the initial application window for various reasons. The UGC-NET exam, originally scheduled for June 18, was cancelled amid fears of a potential paper leak. It has since been rescheduled to take place from August 21 to September 4. ABVP’s memorandum highlights that many students were unaware that admissions to PhD programmes in several universities would depend on UGC-NET scores this year, justifying the need for reopening the application portal.
