According to the police, a car was found overturned at the accident site, while a scooter involved in the collision was completely damaged.

Police have identified the car driver as Angad, a resident of Lal Kothi on Roshnara Road.

A preliminary examination of CCTV footage suggests that the accident occurred when the scooter riders were travelling on the wrong side of the road.

The speeding car, which was reportedly being driven recklessly, collided with the scooter, causing the vehicle to overturn and resulting in serious injuries to both riders.

One of the injured, an unidentified man aged around 27 — suspected to be a Rapido driver — was taken to RML Hospital by the car driver, who subsequently fled the spot.

The second injured person has been identified as Gyander Pratap Singh Shekhawat (23), a resident of Mandir Marg.

He was shifted to Lady Hardinge Hospital by a PCR van and is currently undergoing treatment.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
