The trio, who suffered injuries, was rushed to Maharishi Valmiki Hospital in Pooth Khurd. They were later referred to higher medical centres. Doctors declared them unfit for statement at the time of admission. Later, two of them succumbed to their injuries, while Abdulla continues to battle for life.

The police said cross-FIRs were being registered. “The incident appears to have started from a minor quarrel that spiraled into a deadly confrontation,” an official said.
