Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims — Sumit (27), Mohit (26), and Anurag (23), all residents of Nangloi in Northwest Delhi — were returning home from Murthal after dinner when the accident occurred.

Officials said the crash took place around 1.30 am on GT Road near the Libaspur flyover under the Swaroop Nagar police station limits. A police team rushed to the spot on receiving information and found the three men lying motionless beside a mangled Bullet motorcycle. All three were declared dead at the scene.

According to police, the motorcycle apparently rammed a roadside barrier on the flyover. None of the riders was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. There were no eyewitnesses to the accident, they added.

The bodies were taken to Government Hospital, Burari, where doctors confirmed that all three had been “brought dead”. They were later shifted to the BJRM Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police said further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause and sequence of events.

Murthal, located nearly 45 km from Delhi, is a popular late-night food spot for city residents, known for its highway dhabas that draw crowds through the night.
