32 establishments get exemptions to operate 24x7

Delhi Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) VK Saxena has granted approval to 32 establishments to operate on a 24×7 basis for 365 days to stimulate economic activity and job creation in the Capital.
Under the broader initiative to foster a dynamic and flexible business environment, a total of 667 establishments have been granted exemptions during Saxena’s tenure in the past year.
Saxena’s approval under the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act, 1954, included specific permission for seven establishments to allow women employees to work during night hours, accompanied by stringent safety measures.
The exempted establishments include Godfrey Phillips India Ltd, Hiveloop, E-Commerce E-Pvt Ltd, Sunny Ridge Kila Resorts, Scootsy Logistics, Organic India Pvt Ltd and Bikanerwala International.
The Labour Department had received 52 such applications. Of these, 20 faced a temporary hold due to incompleteness, duplication or deficiencies. The remaining 32 applications received exemptions.
