Five people sustained injuries after an air conditioner compressor exploded at a pizza outlet in northeast Delhi’s Yamuna Vihar, officials said on Tuesday. The injured include three employees and two customers.

According to officials, the explosion occurred on Monday around 8:55 pm in C-Block, causing panic among customers and staff.

Police from the Bhajanpura station rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident.

The injured were immediately taken to GTB Hospital, where they were treated and later discharged.

The Delhi Fire Service brought the fire under control.

A forensic team also visited the scene to collect evidence and investigate the cause of the explosion.
