5 sharpshooters planning to kill Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria nabbed after encounter in Gurugram

A joint team of Gurugram STF and police foiled the plot to attack Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria and nabbed five sharp shooters after a brief encounter on Tuesday midnight. Four miscreants were shot in the encounter which took place on Pataudi Road and have been admitted to the hospital.

These shooters worked for gangsters Rohit Sardhaniya and Deepak Nandal and were also involved in the murder of Rahul Fazilpuria's financier Rohit Shaukeen.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Vinod Pehalwan, a resident of Jhajjar, Padam alias Raja, Shubham alias Kala, Gautam alias Gogi and Ashish alias Ashu, all residents of Sonepat.

According to the police, they got information that the criminals who attacked Rahul Fazilpuria and killed Rohit Shaukeen recently are present near Wazirpur village. On this, the STF team along with Gurugram Police's Crime Teams put a barricade near the village on Pataudi road late Tuesday night. In the meantime, an Innova reached the barricade and when an attempt was made to stop it, the armed criminals in the vehicle started firing at the police. The police teams retaliated and opened fire in response to the firing, during which four criminals were shot in the leg while one was caught.

Around 19 rounds of firing took place from both sides. The injured miscreants have been admitted to Sector 10 Civil Hospital in Gurugram for treatment while one accused, Gautam alias Gogi, has been arrested. An FIR was registered at the Sector 10 A police station.

The spokesperson for the Gurugram police said that during the initial investigation, it was revealed that these five criminals were sharp shooters of gangster Deepak Nandal and Rohit Sirdhania gang sitting abroad. All of them were planning to kill Bollywood singer Fazilpuria. A further probe is under way.
