According to the police, the incident dates back to September 14, when two assailants on a white bike opened fire outside the office of a property delaer, five minutes after he received the demand of Rs 5 crore from Jora. A case under the relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act was registered at the Narela Police Station.

Investigation into the whereabouts of Jora is still on, a police spokesperson said.
