8 arrested for extortion call to bizman

The accused include main assailants Dinesh, Sourav and Hemant, weapon suppliers Ashish Tyagi, Vansh Malik and Rahul, and financiers Sandeeep and Sachin, who executed the conspiracy on the directions of a man named Jora, who claims to be the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, he added.
According to the police, the incident dates back to September 14, when two assailants on a white bike opened fire outside the office of a property delaer, five minutes after he received the demand of Rs 5 crore from Jora. A case under the relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act was registered at the Narela Police Station.
Investigation into the whereabouts of Jora is still on, a police spokesperson said.
