AAP comes out with Delhi Govt’s ‘15-point report card’
While the BJP-led Delhi Government is completing its first 100 days in office on May 30, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s administration, accusing it of dismantling public welfare schemes, worsening essential services and betraying people by failing to deliver on its election promises.
In a joint press conference, Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi, AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj and MLAs Sanjeev Jha and Kuldeep Kumar released a 15-point “report card of the Delhi Government”.
“This is not a story of governance — it’s a story of betrayal,” said Atishi. “In just 100 days, they’ve destroyed systems that were running smoothly for the past 10 years. Electricity, water, schools, hospitals — nothing has been spared,” said Atishi.
In a post on ‘X’, former deputy CM Manish Sisodia said “In just 100 days, the BJP shattered the hopes of city residents.”
He said the major concerns highlighted in the report card are 7 to 15 per cent hike in electricity rates, frequent power outages, closure of mohalla clinics, return of tanker mafia and increase in fee by private schools. It also highlights the BJP’s unfulfilled poll promises such as monthly Rs 2,500 aid for women and subsidised LPG cylinders at Rs 500.
“Sewer water is flowing from taps in several areas,” Atishi said, citing a rise in stomach ailments. She also criticised the closure of mohalla clinics and Farishte scheme. “Thousands of staff are being laid off, free tests have stopped and accident victims no longer get immediate help,” she said.
She also flagged the removal of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh’s portraits from government offices and pension cut for 25,000 widows.
Bharadwaj accused the Chief Minister of “spinning lies.” “Rekha promised that no one will lose jobs. Despite that, mohalla clinic staff is getting termination letters,” he said. He also alleged rebranding of AAP’s bus service and false claims of auditing private schools.
The AAP leaders warned that they would take the report card to every home in Delhi.
