Senior AAP leader and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday criticised BJP leader and New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma for his “financial growth”, citing an increase of 11,000 per cent surge in his annual income and a 2,915 per cent increase in movable assets over the past five years.

Bharadwaj questioned the source of this wealth and demanded an explanation from the BJP regarding how their “poster boy” achieved such a “financial miracle”.

Speaking to the media, Bharadwaj remarked, “If international business schools learned about his methods, Parvesh Verma would be delivering lectures on financial miracles.” His remarks came after comparing Verma's election affidavits from 2019 and 2025.

He said there was a significant increase in his assets, with his movable assets jumping from Rs 3.2 crore in 2019 to Rs 96.5 crore in 2025.

“Even the biggest businessmen in the world can’t turn Rs 3.20 crore into Rs 96.50 crore within five years. How did he do it? Maybe he could even hold a seminar for the residents of New Delhi, where he could explain how to achieve an 11,488% increase in income,” he added.

According to the AAP leader, Verma’s immovable assets showed an increase from Rs 12.3 crore in 2019 to Rs 19.1 crore by 2025.

However, the real cause for concern, Bharadwaj further said, lies in Verma’s movable assets, which include cash, bank deposits, gold, silver, bonds, shares and debentures. “His movable assets grew from Rs 3.2 crore to Rs 96.5 crore — an increase of 2,915 percent,” Bharadwaj said.
