The event was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent BJP and NDA leaders. Maliwal’s presence raised eyebrows due to her ongoing feud with the leadership of AAP, the party that had nominated her to the Rajya Sabha.

Congratulating the new Chief Minister at the event, Maliwal said, “My greetings to Delhi CM Rekha Gupta...People of Delhi have chosen her with great expectations. I hope she meets those expectations.”

During the event, Maliwal was seen sitting alongside Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav, further highlighting her interactions across the party lines. The presence of Maliwal at the ceremony has added a new layer of political intrigue, given her strained relationship with the AAP leadership.
