The city recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6°C on Tuesday, 2.7°C below normal, marking the coldest November so far in the past three years. The maximum temperature settled at 26.4°C, 0.7°C below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

On Monday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 27.1°C, while the minimum temperature settled at 8.7°C, marking the season’s coldest morning so far.

The IMD said the minimum temperature is likely to remain between 9°C and 11°C till Thursday, with the chill persisting across the region.

For Wednesday, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 26°C, while the minimum temperature may settle near 10°C, accompanied by moderate fog in the morning. On Thursday and Friday, maximum temperature is likely to rise slightly to 27°C. The minimum temperature may range between 10°C and 11°C on Thursday and Friday.

The IMD forecast indicates that Delhi will continue to see mainly clear skies, with shallow fog at most places and moderate fog at isolated locations during the morning hours through the week.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature is expected to remain close to 26°C, while the minimum may settle near 11°C.

Meanwhile, the air quality in the national capital remained in the ‘very poor’ category. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 374 at 4 pm on Tuesday, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
