The new four-storeyed building, replaced the previously dilapidated classrooms, is equipped with amenities, including advanced laboratories, a well-stocked library and smart classrooms.

Speaking at the inauguration, Atishi said, “This new building stands as a testament to our commitment to providing world-class education to every child, irrespective of their economic background.”

The minister said the expansion was necessary due to the growing number of students, which had forced the school to operate in two shifts.

“From 1947 to 2015, only 24,000 rooms were built in Delhi’s government schools. But in the last 10 years alone, under the Kejriwal government, over 22,000 classrooms have been constructed,” she added.

Atishi said, “Arvind Kejriwal was jailed because he dared to dream of a better future for Delhi’s children,” She said that the Chief Minister would soon be released and continue his work.

“Our dream is to ensure that every child, whether born into wealth or poverty, has the opportunity to advance and contribute to the nation. This new school block is a small part of that larger mission.”
