Chairing a special meeting at the Delhi Secretariat to review preparations, Gupta said the initiative would mark the beginning of a new chapter in Delhi’s development journey. “From September 17, Delhiites will receive a new gift every day — whether in the form of new projects, inaugurations, foundation-laying ceremonies, cleanliness drives or blood donation camps. These activities will be carried out with the active participation of public representatives,” she said.
The CM added that the move reflected the commitment of the “Triple Engine Government” — the Centre, Delhi Government and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). “This decision will provide new momentum to Delhi’s progress towards becoming a Viksit Delhi,” she said.
According to the government, the Seva Pakhwada will include the launch of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir scheme, to be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Gupta described the scheme as a milestone in providing accessible healthcare to the people of Delhi.
The meeting was attended by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, MPs, ministers, MLAs, councillors and senior officials. Highlighting the work culture of her government, Gupta said that neither she nor her ministers had taken a single day off in the past six months. “It is because of this that long-pending projects are now being dedicated to the people,” she said.
