The campaign, running till October 2, aims to empower families by strengthening women’s health.

Speaking at the event, Gupta said, “Health camps are being organised across the country for our sisters and daughters. They are being provided free test facilities...I want to thank the PM for being concerned about women’s health.”

Dr Nirupama Madan, Medical Superintendent at the AIIMS, said the camp was open to all women, including patients, attendants, staff and family members, offering a wide range of free services such as gynecological consultations, antenatal checkups, anaemia assessments, cancer screening, dental and eye checkups, dermatology consultations, pediatric health services and nutrition counselling.

Renu Singh, Senior Nursing Officer at the camp, noted, “We have pulmonology, dietician, gynaecology, paediatrics and general consultations. The daily footfall is of around 200–300 people. Around 20–22 nurses and nearly 100–120 staff members are on duty every day to ensure smooth functioning,” she said.

Beyond routine checkups, the campaign integrates awareness and preventive healthcare initiatives. Sessions on “Work-Life Balance for Women” have featured interactive street plays on child marriage and education, motivational presentations and group activities designed to promote healthier lifestyles.

The camp is also emphasising cancer awareness, with training sessions for medical officers and auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs) on early detection and standardised screening procedures.

Besides, a vaccination drive for 300–400 schoolchildren has been scheduled during the campaign period.

Another key component is the Nikshay Mitra enrolment drive under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, which promotes community support for tuberculosis patients.
