Addressing a press conference in the Capital, Bidhuri said every section of society has benefitted from the developmental and welfare schemes. “India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy, and bold reforms like the abrogation of Article 370, triple talaq abolition, CAA, the new Waqf Act, and women’s reservation have been possible only under PM Modi’s decisive leadership,” he said.
Bidhuri also praised the Centre’s response to Covid-19 and its firm stand against terrorism in Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam, citing these as examples of India’s strengthened global position.
Highlighting the Modi government’s flagship schemes, he listed wide-ranging benefits delivered under Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Digital India, and Vishwakarma Yojana, among others. “Over 80 crore people received free ration, 12 crore toilets have been built and four crore houses have been provided under housing schemes,” he said.
Turning to Delhi, the South Delhi MP said the Capital had witnessed a transformation, particularly in infrastructure. Key initiatives included the completion of Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways, reducing truck traffic and pollution, as well as massive investments in highways, tunnels, and bridges. He credited the Modi government for completing long-pending projects like the Dhaula Kuan flyover and launching new ones like the Rs 7,000 crore Delhi-Vadodara Highway and the Shiv Murti-Mahipalpur tunnel.
He added that South Delhi had received special attention, with the construction of new bridges over Agra and Gurgaon canals and the development of India’s largest eco-park on 885 acres in Badarpur to combat pollution.
Bidhuri also highlighted local achievements, including ownership rights for residents of unauthorised colonies, housing and education hubs in Narela and Dwarka, Bharat Vandana Park, and the ongoing efforts to clean the Yamuna within three years.
