BJP celebrates 648th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas with temple visits
On the occasion of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji’s 648th birth anniversary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda visited the Shri Ravidas Temple in Karol Bagh on Wednesday. Nadda offered prayers and paid floral tributes to the revered saint, while extending his best wishes to the community members present.
Accompanying Nadda were Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, BJP national general secretary Dushyant Gautam, Member of Parliament Yogendra Chandolia, Bansuri Swaraj, former MLA Rajkumar Anand, and several other distinguished party workers who participated in the prayer ceremony.
As part of the occasion, BJP president Nadda also wrote a goodwill message in the temple’s devotee register, conveying his best wishes to all those present.
Delhi BJP president Sachdeva expressed that the teachings and actions of Sant Ravidas Ji transcend community boundaries, benefiting all of society. He also expressed gratitude to Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena for declaring a public holiday to mark Sant Ravidas Ji’s birth anniversary. Sachdeva thanked the newly elected leadership of the BJP for this important initiative.
In addition, the Delhi BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha organised a grand floral tribute programme at the party’s state office. The event was presided over by the Delhi state president of the Scheduled Caste Morcha, Mohan Lal Gihara.
The chief guest of the event was Tarun Chugh, BJP national general decretary and national in-charge of the Scheduled Caste Morcha.
