The Delhi BJP has launched a ‘Jhuggi Vistarak’ campaign, an initiative aimed at improving the civic conditions in the city’s slum areas, while expanding the party’s presence at the grassroots.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the drive during a meeting chaired by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva. “Due to the Delhi government’s incompetence, the living standards in slum colonies were deteriorating by the day,” said Mandaviya.

Sachdeva alleged that there were nearly 30 Delhi Assembly constituencies with slums that still lack basic amenities.
