BJP leaders, workers across Delhi tune in to PM’s 'Mann Ki Baat'

The Delhi unit of the BJP on Saturday organised events at various places across the city to listen to PM Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Senior BJP leaders, MPs and ministers joined party workers and citizens to listen to the programme.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, along with MLA Harish Khurana, participated in an event held at Moti Nagar. “This is not just Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, it is truly the voice of the people. That is why it is such a highly popular programme today,” said Sachdeva.

Union Ministers of State Harsh Malhotra and Pabitra Margherita, Delhi BJP Organisational General Secretary Pawan Rana and Tripura BJP president and MP Rajib Bhattacharya also attended events across the Capital.

While Malhotra joined the programme at Acharya Niketan Market in Mayur Vihar, Phase 1, Margherita and Bhattacharya were present at Gol Market. Rana participated in an event at Ashok Vihar Phase-2.

MP Manoj Tiwari invited hundreds of party workers from his constituency to his residence to listen to the broadcast. MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri joined the programme from Zakir Hussain Marg, Praveen Khandelwal from Anand Niketan and MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat, along with local MLA Sandeep Sehrawat, organised a special camp for differently-abled individuals in Matiala.

Delhi Minister Ashish Sood listened to the address at Ram Dutt Enclave with party workers and residents, while Pankaj Singh joined the programme in Vikaspuri.

During the broadcast, Prime Minister Modi emphasised India’s collective resolve against terrorism, praised the valour of the armed forces and encouraged citizens to practise yoga. He also spoke about the Khelo India initiative under which over 5,000 young athletes have participated, and highlighted the blending of Sikkim’s traditional weaving with modern fashion through craft fiber.

Sachdeva said the programme continues to deliver meaningful social messages and had emerged as a powerful medium to connect with the masses.
