Some allies of the INDIA bloc have extended their support to the AAP, excluding the grand old party Congress, for the elections in the national capital on February 5.

Among other parties which have backed the AAP include the Trinamool Congress and the Shiv Sena – Uddhav Thackeray faction.

Yadav claimed that the "overwhelming" public support for the AAP in Delhi was “historic”, predicting a landslide victory for the party in the upcoming elections.

“I can confidently say that this time again, the people of Delhi will place their trust in the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal ji, leading them to a historic victory. I want to congratulate them in advance,” Yadav said.

Attacking the BJP, the SP chief said the AAP’s election symbol, 'jhaadu' (broom), would “sweep away the dishonesty of the BJP.”

He further claimed that the BJP would be completely wiped out in Delhi.

“The AAP’s election symbol, 'jhaadu', is going to sweep away the dishonesty of the BJP. Not only is the BJP going to be wiped out, its dishonesty will also be eradicated. It is possible that this time, all 70 seats will be lost by the BJP,” he stated.

Appealing to voters to ensure the AAP’s victory, he said every single vote should go in favour of 'jhaadu”, and no vote should be wasted.

He praised Kejriwal administration for its work in the fields of education, healthcare and public utilities. “The work they have done speaks for itself. Their development is evident — providing free electricity to the poor, addressing healthcare concerns through Mohalla Clinics, ensuring water availability and making fundamental and historic changes in the education sector,” he said.

Yadav also took a dig at the BJP, accusing it of misleading voters while acknowledging the AAP’s welfare schemes. “Do you want these schemes to continue? Or do you want to cast your vote in a way that harms your own interests?” he questioned.

Reiterating the AAP stance that its welfare schemes helped save people’s income up to Rs. 25, 000. Yadav said, “The people of Delhi are wise and will not fall for the BJP’s deception. They know that as long as the AAP is in power, they will continue to receive these benefits. These benefits amount to thousands, even up to Rs 25,000, and the people will not allow these benefits to be taken away from their families.”

Meanwhile, Kejriwal said “This time, the Congress and BJP are having an “ILU ILU” moment! Beware! It’s very dangerous! Do not vote for the Congress, because voting for Congress means helping BJP win! And if the BJP comes to power, they will take away all your benefits. They will turn your life into a living hell!”

Another SP leader and Lok Sabha MP Iqra Hasan campaigned for the former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in Jangpura from where the latter is contesting this election.
