Following the crash, Gaganpreet Kaur and her husband, Parikshit Makkar, transported the injured couple to NuLife Hospital in GTB Nagar, approximately 19 kilometers away from the accident site, with the help of a Samaritan.

The decision to bypass nearby hospitals has sparked outrage from the victim’s family.

Navjot’s son, Navnoor, told ANI that the delay in reaching medical care may have cost his father his life.

Adding to the family's concerns, it has emerged that Gaganpreet’s father is one of the owners of NuLife Hospital. The victim’s family has alleged that there were attempts to tamper with evidence at the facility.

Gaganpreet, 38, was admitted with minor injuries and arrested on Monday. She faces charges of rash driving, culpable homicide not amounting to murder and destruction of evidence.

Navjot Singh’s father, Balwant Singh, a retired Indian Air Force officer, expressed deep grief over the loss. “My son was very careful on the road. He was a topper and due for a promotion in six months. Everything is over for us now,” he said.
