The edited version of these diaries have been prepared in a book form by Dr Jagmail Singh Bhathuan and Dr Ravinder Kaur Ravi, former assistant professor, Department of Music, Punjabi University, Patiala.

The diaries give a glimpse into the public life and culture of Punjab of about 150 years ago. The diaries reveal interesting information about ways in which kings and maharajas of the Phulkian princely states as well as the British rulers functioned.
