Boy’s suicide: FIR against school

New Delhi: Three days after a Class X student hanged himself at his home, the police booked the administration of Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, for abetment to suicide. The police initiated action against the school after receiving a complaint from the student’s father, who alleged that his son was refused the admit card for an exam by the school administration. He also alleged that his son was also asked to pay a hefty fine for a chair he broke in the school. There was no immediate reaction from the school administration on the matter. TNS

Man killed by stray cattle

New Delhi: A 42-year-old man, waiting for school bus for his child, died in a stray cattle attack in south Delhi’s Tigri area here, the police said on Friday. Footage from a CCTV camera showed the animal goring Subhash Kumar Jha, a resident of Khanpur, and pound him with its hoofs as he lay on road. In the video, Jha’s son could be seen screaming for help. The cow stomped on Jha’s chest and head a number of times. The people standing nearby tried to save him by trying to hit the animal with sticks, the video showed. The incident took place near Jaspal Mart in Devli Mor on Thursday.PTI

Class VIII student beaten to death

New Delhi: A Class VIII student died after allegedly being thrashed by some people in New Usmanpur area. The incident took place in Sant Ravidas Gali of Brahmpuri around 2.15 pm and police received information about it at 4.04 pm from JPC hospital. The victim lived in Brahmpuri and studied in a private school. It seems the victim had an altercation with some boy after school. The police are verifying the claim.
