The University of Delhi has been awarded the highest possible grade — NAAC A with a CGPA of 3.55 — in its Cycle 2 Accreditation, announced on Friday. “This remarkable achievement reflects the collective commitment and excellence of our faculty, students, staff, alumni and stakeholders,” said a university spokesperson on X. Robbers loot elderly trader

New Delhi: Three robbers threw red chili powder on a 65-year-old shopkeeper’s eyes and decamped with the cash box in Jahangirpuri area, the police said on Friday. The incident took place while the victim, Suresh Chand, was at his shop in E Block, Jahangirpuri, they said. PTI

Yamuna water level falls

New Delhi: The water level of the Yamuna in Delhi on Friday dropped below the warning mark, settling at 204.49 m at the Old Railway Bridge, official said. The discharge from the Hathni Kund Barrage stood at 21,034 cusecs. PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
