Budget to reflect BJP’s vision for cleaner, developed national capital, says Bidhuri
The upcoming Delhi Budget will focus on building a cleaner, pollution-free and world-class city, reflecting the BJP’s vision for governance, South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said on Monday.
Bidhuri, who chaired the BJP’s manifesto committee during the Delhi Assembly elections, met Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Delhi Secretariat to discuss key issues ahead of the Budget presentation. He urged the government to allocate funds for fulfilling BJP’s poll promises, including infrastructure upgrades, healthcare improvements and social welfare initiatives.
“The Budget should prioritise better roads, sewer lines, clean drinking water, enhanced transport services and sanitation. It must also focus on reducing Delhi’s air pollution, cutting AQI levels by half in the next five years and developing the Yamuna riverfront on the lines of Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati riverfront within three years,” he said.
Bidhuri emphasised the need for stronger healthcare infrastructure and preventive healthcare measures. He stated that the government was working at a “war footing” to prepare its first Budget after securing power in Delhi for the first time in 27 years.
“The Budget will be a reflection of the aspirations of the people of Delhi and BJP’s commitment to transforming the Capital into a developed city on all parameters,” he added.
