Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, on Monday launched a scathing criticism against the Delhi budget, condemning it as a compilation of deceitful announcements. He accused the government of indulging in hypocrisy by invoking religious sentiments while failing to address key issues.

“The Delhi budget is merely a bundle of false promises,” remarked Bidhuri, highlighting the budget’s lack of substance and accountability.

Particularly denouncing the comparison of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders with Hindu deities as an insult to religious sentiments, Bidhuri demanded an apology from Finance Minister Atishi for the “disrespectful” references in the budget speech.

“The budget’s invocation of Lord Ram’s name is disrespectful. Those opposing the Ram temple now hypocritically praise him. Comparing CM Arvind Kejriwal to Lord Ram amidst corruption allegations is absurd,” Bidhuri remarked.

He further scrutinised the budget’s transparency, highlighting its failure to address past promises and utilisation of funds.
