Bus rams police vehicle, two pedestrians injured

The incident occurred on the intervening night of October 26-27 near the SDM Office, opposite Gagan Cinema. A patrolling team had stopped its vehicle after noticing a crowd at the spot.
While the officers were inquiring about the situation, a DTC bus coming from near Wazirabad crashed into the police vehicle from behind.
The impact of the collision caused the police vehicle to mount the footpath, injuring two pedestrians. Both victims were rushed to GTB Hospital for medical treatment.
The bus driver, identified as Ismail (39), was apprehended on the spot.
The bus has been impounded, and a case under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at PS Nand Nagri.
The police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
