Speaking at the ‘DELIGHT for Delhi’ Summit — an initiative by the Delhi Tourism Department and Invest India — the Chief Minister said the city is being positioned under the vision of Driving Experiential Leadership, Innovative Growth, and High-Impact Tourism (DELIGHT).

Highlighting Delhi’s unique mix of heritage and modernity, Gupta said, “Delhi is not just India’s capital, it is the soul of our nation. It represents a rich culture, diverse heritage, and glorious history.” She said iconic sites such as Bharat Mandapam, YashoBhoomi, the Prime Ministers’ Museum, and the National War Memorial have already strengthened Delhi’s image as a cultural and historical hub.

The CM underlined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently prioritised tourism development and that the Delhi Government is committed to complementing this vision by transforming the city into India’s most dynamic urban centre through strong policies and active public participation.

“Our government is working day and night for a cleaner, more beautiful, and more vibrant Delhi so that tourists from around the world can experience the true essence of India,” Gupta said, adding that Delhi must firmly claim its space on the global tourism map just as other states have done.

Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra described Delhi as a rising centre of global tourism, culture, and innovation. “This summit is not just an event to promote tourism but a strategic platform to connect Delhi with global investment, innovation, and cultural leadership,” he said.

Mishra said the summit has helped the government gather practical insights and suggestions from experts, which will soon be translated into 8 to 10 key actionable steps to benefit both residents and investors. “Delhi’s fusion of heritage, culture, and modern infrastructure makes it a safe, profitable, and sustainable destination for investment,” he added.
