A tragic incident occurred late Monday night in Faridabad when a security supervisor, Yogesh (42), drowned after his car fell into an open drain opposite the Naveen Nagar police chowki.

Witnesses at the scene reportedly focused on recording videos instead of attempting to rescue Yogesh, leading his family to claim that he could have been saved if help had arrived sooner.

Yogesh, a resident of Dabua Colony, worked as a supervisor for a security agency in Noida Sector-63. He is survived by his wife, Suman, and their two daughters.

The accident took place around 11:00 pm as Yogesh was returning home from Noida. While trying to avoid an oncoming auto rickshaw near the police chowki, his car veered off the road and plunged into the drain, which was obscured by darkness.

Upon receiving the report, a police team quickly arrived at the scene. A crane was used to retrieve the vehicle, but unfortunately, by the time Yogesh was pulled from the water, he had died.

A senior police officer confirmed that Yogesh's body was handed over to his family after a postmortem examination and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
