The CISF Coastal Cyclothon-2025, a first-of-its-kind initiative covering 6,553 km of India’s coastline, is set to reach Mumbai on Thursday, marking its half-way distance of nearly 3,300 km (both coasts-combined).

This historic ride is raising awareness amongst the local population about the importance of coastal security and appealing to the fisherman communities to actively support the law enforcement agencies in keeping a vigil over potential threats such as smuggling of drugs, weapons and explosives through the sea.

In Mumbai, the cyclothon is expected to be joined by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, Bollywood icons Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani and Suniel Shetty, who have already extended their
