The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for the takeover of 167 newly-constructed residential quarters and a community hall at Maidangarhi, South Delhi, for a period of 15 years on a no-cost basis.

The accommodation includes 15 Type-IV, 77 Type-III, and 75 Type-II quarters.

The MoU, duly approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), was signed by Sreejith T, SP (NIA representative), and Vishal Dubey, Senior Commandant (CISF representative), in the presence of Vijay Prakash, ADG Headquarters, CISF, and Santosh Rastogi, IG, NIA, along with senior officers from both organisations.

With the expansion of the CISF’s responsibilities across new establishments, housing satisfaction has emerged as a key welfare priority as a number of units in Delhi provide security to MHA-funded institutions, where the demand for official accommodation is particularly high.

This allotment of NIA residential quarters aims to significantly enhance housing satisfaction for CISF personnel posted in Delhi NCR.

Notably, the NIA has agreed to share 75 per cent of the project’s residential infrastructure with the CISF. The CISF is also undertaking the construction of new family quarters at Maidangarhi and Saket through government construction agencies such as the NBCC.
