The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been formally inducted as the aviation security agency at Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar.

The move signals operational readiness ahead of the airport’s commercial launch.

NIA is the 70th airport in India to come under CISF security cover. The CISF Aviation Security Group will handle perimeter and access control, passenger and baggage screening, terminal and landside security, deployment of Quick Response Teams, and coordination with local law enforcement agencies.

In the first phase, 1,047 personnel will be deployed under a Chief Aerodrome Security Officer. The strength will increase as operations expand, an official said.
