The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Police officials said a suicide note was also recovered from the student’s school bag. In the note, he claimed that constant harassment by several teachers and the school principal forced him to take the extreme step.
The 16-year-old boy, a resident of Karol Bagh, had reportedly been under severe mental stress.
As per the FIR, his father alleged that the student frequently complained about the conduct of certain teachers. He had told his parents that some teachers scolded him, insulted him and mentally troubled him over minor issues.
His parents also stated that they had made multiple verbal complaints to both the teachers and the principal, but the alleged harassment continued without any corrective action. The police are now conducting a detailed investigation to verify the allegations mentioned in the suicide note and the FIR.
