The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when Shaurya’s father had left for work, leaving him at home with his mother. During this time, he took the lift to the 15th floor and jumped. Residents of the society heard the sound and immediately informed the police.

A police team arrived at the scene and rushed the injured student to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A senior investigating officer stated that Shaurya’s parents are in shock over the incident. They emphasised that they never pressured him regarding his academic performance.
