The ceremony marked the launch of a first of its kind platform dedicated to promoting pickleball, an emerging racquet sport gaining popularity among youth worldwide.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said, “This unique initiative will provide a platform that gives a new direction to sports.” She added that the league is not only competitive in nature but also brings fresh energy and innovation to India’s expanding athletic ecosystem.
Calling it an opportunity for young and upcoming athletes, she noted that such platforms help players receive recognition, motivation, and avenues for advancement. Emphasising the national vision, she said, “This league will strengthen India’s emerging sports ecosystem.”
