CM Rekha inaugurates Jan Seva Sadan at Civil Lines

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated her new camp office, Jan Seva Sadan, on Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines, here, on Friday. The inauguration began with a solemn prayer ceremony, attended by officials and citizens, seeking blessings for the welfare and prosperity of all Delhiites.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the new Jan Seva Sadan as a testament to her government’s unwavering commitment to public service, accountability and transparency. She emphasised that happiness, dignity and well-being of every resident of Delhi would remain the government’s top priority. The new facility would become the nerve centre for addressing citizens’ concerns, hopes and suggestions.

Calling the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Sadan a new chapter in public welfare, CM Gupta highlighted that the centre was built on the foundation of trust and active public participation. She urged people to embrace the Jan Seva Sadan as a symbol of resolution and commitment where every complaint would be heard, every voice responded to and every citizen treated with respect.

The Chief Minister said the facility had been established with the aim of providing a dedicated and coordinated platform for direct communication with the people, institutionalising public hearings and ensuring the timely resolution of grievances. Senior officials will be present to oversee public hearings and ensure prompt action on complaints and suggestions.

Reiterating the focus on responsive governance, the CM said the Jan Seva Sadan would function as a bridge of trust between the government and the people, offering services like grievance redressal, registration of suggestions, public consultations and meetings — all under one roof. She underlined that her government’s aim is to ensure that no citizen has to run from pillar to post to get his/her problems addressed.

CM Gupta also pointed out that she has been holding daily public hearings at her residence in Shalimar Bagh and the Jan Seva Sadan would expand this tradition by offering an institutionalised and accessible facility to all citizens.

Taking a dig at the previous administrations, the Chief Minister said her government had worked to eliminate the communication gap that once existed between citizens and the government. “Our government wants to assure every Delhiite that their voice will reach us directly, and every issue will be addressed swiftly and with dignity,” she said.

Concluding her address, CM Rekha Gupta reiterated her government’s commitment to grassroots democracy and pledged that the Jan Seva Sadan would remain open for all — as a place where problems find solutions, voices find respect and governance finds its true purpose in service.
