Man arrested for raping daughters

An FIR was registered against the accused upon the intervention of a victim’s class teacher on Wednesday. The accused was produced in a city court today and sent to judicial custody.
According to the police, the victims are 17 and 12-years old and are studying at a government school. The accused had been sexually exploiting them for the last six and two years, respectively. It was revealed on September 4 when the 12-year-old student confided in her teacher that her father, after consuming alcohol, would forcibly takes her to his room to abuse here. And when the daughters and the mother would protest, he would beat them.
It was also revealed that the elder sister is not let to go to school, nor meet anyone, so that the accused is not exposed.
Hearing the child’s account, the teacher called the mother to the school, where she also confirmed the same. The teacher then informed the police.
A senior police officer said that the FIR was registered under Sections 6 and 10 of the POCSO Act and Section 65 of the BNS and the accused was apprehended last night.
