CM unveils mini recycler machine at Vaishali

In a step towards modernising urban infrastructure and strengthening sanitation systems, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday inaugurated a new mini recycler sewer cleaning machine at Vaishali in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency. The initiative aims to make sewer cleaning operations across the Capital more efficient, safe and environmental-friendly.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the cleaning of sewer lines in the Capital would now be carried out using advanced, state of the art machines. These newly-introduced mini recycler machines are designed to easily access narrow lanes and streets, efficiently remove sludge from sewer lines, and perform thorough cleaning.

The Chief Minister informed that the Delhi Government had procured 16 such small recycler machines for deployment across various parts of the city. “Clean, green and safe Delhi is our government’s mission,” she said, emphasising that the initiative aligned with the broader goal of environmental protection and infrastructure modernising, the Chief Minister explained that these advanced portable machines were equipped with modern technologies such as sewer cleaning, sludge removal, jetting and suction.

She added that sixteen of these machines had already been ordered, with more to be procured as required.

“These machines will be particularly beneficial in addressing sewer blockage issues that tend to increase during the winter season,” she added.

The CM further informed that the government had recently procured an advanced power maintenance machine capable of carrying out repair work on live power lines without power cuts or disruptions.

Reiterating her government’s commitment, she said the administration remained focused on “environmental conservation and the modernisation of urban infrastructure.”

Projects such as the cleaning of the Yamuna, water treatment initiatives, underground wiring, smart drainage systems, and tree transplantation are all progressing rapidly, she noted.
