Addressing a review meeting with Lok Sabha and district observers as well as district presidents, Yadav noted that this progress would significantly strengthen the Congress at the block level and accelerate the completion of pending formations in the remaining areas.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders including AICC secretary in-charge Sukhwinder Singh Danny, former Delhi Minister Dr Narender Nath, Communications Department chairman and ex-MLA Anil Bhardwaj and ex-MLA Hari Shankar Gupta.
Yadav lauded the dedication of party observers and local leaders in accelerating the restructuring process and reiterated that the Congress is fully prepared to contest and reclaim the 12 MCD wards where by-elections are due.
A resolution moved by Anil Bhardwaj was also passed at the meeting, expressing gratitude to Devender Yadav for organising the Mega Job Fair on June 19 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, coinciding with the birthday of Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi. The fair saw over 10,000 unemployed youth register, with 3,391 receiving on-the-spot job offers. The resolution stated that while the BJP-led governments had failed to create employment opportunities, the Congress initiative had rekindled hope among Delhi’s job-seeking youth.
