All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Alok Sharma accused both the BJP and the AAP of colluding to conceal critical Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports that could unveil corruption within the Delhi Government.

During a press conference held at the DPCC office on Saturday, Sharma criticised the AAP for failing to uphold its promises of transparency and accountability. “The Lt Governor had to direct Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel to table the 11 pending CAG reports, as Kejriwal and Finance Minister Atishi Marlena failed to act on this matter.

These reports, which contain explosive findings about misappropriated taxpayer money, have been kept under wraps to avoid public backlash,” said Sharma.

He lambasted the BJP for its role in allowing the AAP government to evade scrutiny. “The BJP is equally guilty. Neither its seven MPs nor its eight MLAs demanded the government to table the reports and discuss them. This inaction has shielded the Kejriwal government from necessary public accountability,” he said. — TNS
