Cyber fraud: 2 land in Gurugram police net

The accused were identified as Sharad Kant Mishra (32), a resident of Patel Nagar, and Yatin Kumar (30), a resident of Janakpuri in Delhi. Both were arrested by the police on Wednesday in Delhi.
According to the complaint, a resident had lodged a complaint on July 7, stating that an unidentified person lured him to invest in the IPO of companies in the share market through a fake app and transferred money from his bank account into his own. An FIR was registered in the matter.
During investigation, the cyber police arrested two persons in the case.
“During interrogation, the accused revealed that out of the amount defrauded in the case, Rs 2 lakh was transferred to the bank account of the firm of Sharad and Yatin. The accused sold the bank account of their firm to another person for Rs 30,000. Interrogation is underway in the matter,” said Priyanshu Dewan, ACP (Cyber).
