Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, ministers pay obeisance at Golden Temple; Jathedar Gargaj takes up Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar’s case

Gupta was accompanied by ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Kapil Mishra, Ravindra Indraj and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The delegation expressed gratitude for the successful conduct of the events held in Delhi in connection with the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
During her visit, CM Rekha Gupta also met the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj. According to Jathedar Gargaj, he raised the issue of granting amnesty to Bandi Sikh Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar with the visiting Chief Minister. He said CM Rekha Gupta assured him that she would take up the matter with the authorities concerned.
After paying obeisance, Gupta said she had come to offer 'shukrana' (thanks) following the successful organisation of Guru Tegh Bahadur's 350th martyrdom anniversary programme at the Red Fort in Delhi.
CM Gupta also performed voluntary service (seva). This was her first visit to the holy shrine after becoming chief minister. Gupta described the Golden Temple as not just a heritage monument but a divine centre of spiritual energy and selfless service, a place where faith transforms into action and devotion shapes character.
Talking to media, she said, “Due to the recent attack that took place outside the Red Fort, there was fear in people’s minds, and before the event we had offered prayers that everything should go smoothly and no inconvenience should be caused to anyone attending. Today, I have come to express my gratitude that throughout the entire programme no one faced any difficulty.”
Gupta said in a post on X, "After bowing my head at Sri Harmandir Sahib, my mind found satisfaction. Waheguru Ji, may You keep Your hand of grace upon everyone."
Sirsa wrote in a post on X, "Today, by visiting this sacred place, my mind found immense peace, and I also experienced the boundless presence and tranquility of that Akal Purkh."
She also visited the Durgiana Temple and Ram Tirath during her visit to the city.
