The vehicle was flagged off from Old Panka road in Janakpuri constituency, represented by Delhi Home and Education Minister Ashish Sood. The initiative is aimed to bring governance closer to the people, eliminating the need for them to visit government offices. Residents will benefit from faster services, efficient processes and transparent administration, Gupta said.
“This unique initiative has been inspired by the PM’s vision that an elected representative’s position is not one of power but of service and dedication,” she added. The CM highlighted that the mobile office would particularly benefit women, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Sood said that through this facility, citizens would no longer need to wander from pillar to post in search of solutions to their problems.
A laptop, stenographer and clerk have been attached to the vehicle to ensure that people’s concerns are properly recorded and immediately passed on to the MLA concerned for prompt action, he added.
“The mobile office has facilities such as a computer operator, Wi-Fi, microphones and seating for up to 10 people,” Sood added.
